You’ve made me think that maybe Snoke is the Darth Maul of this trilogy — cool and mysterious, but ultimately cut short. That’s a pretty clever inversion of the evil mastermind.

I like to think of him as one of the emperor’s assistants who escaped the second Death Star with a briefcase of old plans and set himself up with a cushy job, nothing more.
